Train collision in Pakistan
Nine people, including 8 children, were killed in eastern Pakistan's Punjab Province when a bus and train collided, national media reported. The bus driver was also killed, with another 12 children injured. The school bus, carrying children between eight and 10 years old, collided with the train in the city of Mian Channu as it was travelling from the western city of Quetta. Police said that the train hit the bus at an ungated railroad crossing. According to witnesses, the van was completely destroyed by the collision. There are no reports of casualties among train passengers. Preliminary reports suggest that thick fog may have been the cause of the accident.
