British Airways still on strike

British Airways planes have been grounded again, throwing passengers’ plans into turmoil, on the third and final day of a walkout by cabin crew.
A number of aircraft have been flying, among them planes BA has leased from budget airlines.
As striking workers rallied near London’s Heathrow Airport, there looks no end in sight to the dispute over cost-cutting and staffing levels, informs Euronews.
BA says the strike’s impact has been limited. Union leaders disagree.
“You have only got to look around this airport to see the amount of tails, that are not flying,” said Unite joint general secretary Tony Woodley. “You have only got to know, as I know, how many passengers are on those planes that are flying. You have only got to know how much it is costing British Airways to fly other people’s planes. It is an absolute fortune, tens of milions of pounds in lost revenue. This is a disaster.”
BA boss Willie Walsh is in the firing line for staff whose industrial action has hit thousands of travellers.
