England: Ferry crushed into fisherman boat
Rescuers have resumed the search for a missing fisherman lost at sea following a collision with a Norfolkline ferry late yesterday.
A 14-metre long North Shields-based Homeland prawn boat collided with the Scottish Viking passenger ferry off the Berwickshire coast at last night. One of the two man crew – who are believed to be brothers – was pulled to safety aboard another vessel. However, one fisherman – believed to be 16-years-of-age - remains missing.
The ferry, which was travelling between Rosyth and Zeebrugge, is operated by Dutch company Norfolkline, owned by DFDS Seaways.
