Time your connecting flights – you should have extra 4-5 hours for emergency situations. 3. The cheapest tickets are usually sold in work days. For weekends and holidays prices are higher. 4. Get information about sales: low cost airlines hold sales lasting for 1-2 days. Quantity of tickets is limited. You may find a lot of websites in Internet telling about these sales. 5. When you choose tickets pay your attention not only to basic price but also to extra payments which surely will be included in the full cost: airports’ fines, credit card payment fines etc.
Cheap accommodation
One of the most inexpensive types of accommodation in Europe is hostel. Bed in a good hostel may cost 20-25 Euro per day; it’s cheaper than any hotel. Hostel is a very special place. The only way to get acquainted with it is to look at its description on one of websites about hostels. You should get as much information from this description as you can.
It’s a good sign if your hostel is included in a big hostel chain. Hostels of one chain usually have the same service standards and equal equipment. Also you should pay your attention to some details. 24-hour Reception says us that they are always ready to let you in and besides the hostel is designed for a big quantity of guests. Then more guests they have then higher service level is. Words “Key Card Access” tell us about modern equipment of the hostel. Clause “Linen Included” is not very often to be seen in hostels so you should appreciate it. If you want to get comfortable toilet facilities look for a word “Ensuite”: toilet and shower are directly in your room.
Public transport. Expensive
All kinds of transport in Europe run very close to the schedule. When you take a bus buy a ticket. Otherwise you will face an angry ticket collector who will punish you with a fine.
European public transport is not cheap. But it differs in various countries. E.g. in Prague it’s the most democratic in Europe and in England it’s the most expensive. But anyway you should buy a monthly ticket if you want to see many sites.

If you want to rent a car in Europe you should some rules concerning its using. Signing a rent contract check out if the auto accident insurance is included in the rent cost. Also you should check rented car if it has or not some damages before and after using it. You will get a car full of gasoline so you’ll have to return it in the same condition. Otherwise they will force you to pay for gasoline and for filling service. If you decide to rent a car take your credit cards along with you as you will have to leave it as a deposit for rented car. Each country has a number of special features concerning driving. You hardly can drive in the centre of Amsterdam you may use its P+R system (park and ride): you leave your car in a special parking in suburb of Amsterdam, pay 6 Euro per day and get free public transport tickets for all people in your car (under 5). Your car may stay here for up to 4 days but you should use your tickets properly. If your tickets stay unused or are lost you will to pay the full cost of parking – it’s nearly 18 Euro per day.
